Sangeeta Mital, MD
Received her BA in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania in 1995. She completed her Medical Doctorate, Internal Medicine Residency and Nephrology Fellowship at University of Pittsburgh in 2004. She joined Nephrology Associates in 2005 and became a partner in 2007. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology. She is the Medical Director of Fresenius Liberty Dialysis Camp Hill and Fresenius Medical Care New Bloomfield dialysis units. Clinically she has a special interest in electrolyte disorders, high blood pressure issues, and chronic kidney disease. In her spare time she enjoys travel, the outdoors and spending time with her family.
Kaushal R. Patel, MD
Graduated from Baroda Medical College, a premier medical institution, in 2002. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Nephrology Fellowship at New York Medical College in 2009. He became a partner at Nephrology Associates in 2011 and is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He is the Medical Director of Fresenius Liberty Dialysis Middletown and US Renal Care Dialysis in Mechanicsburg, PA. Clinically he has a special interest in electrolyte disorders, high blood pressure issues, and fluid over-load. In his private time Dr. Patel enjoys sports, roller-coasters, travel and spending time with his wife and two young children.
Jay A. Shah, MD
Dr. Shah attained his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University in Ithaca New York. He attended University of Pittsburgh Medical Center from June 2004 through June 2010 where he completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Nephrology Fellowship Programs. He became a partner at Nephrology Associates in 2016 and is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He is the Medical Director of Fresenius Millersburg Dialysis and Liberty Newberry Commons Dialysis. Clinically he has a special interest in electrolyte disorders, high blood pressure issues, and fluid overload. In his private time Dr. Shah enjoys outdoor activities, travel and spending time with his wife and two children.
Surju R. Patel, MD
Dr Surju Patel, MD grew up in the Harrisburg area and did his bachelors of science in biochemistry at Philadelphia University. With an interest in medicine, he went to St Matthews University for medical school and specialized in internal medicine at Temple-Memorial Hospital in Johnstown, PA. He furthered his training and subspecialized in Nephrology at Penn State Medical Center in Hershey PA. He enjoys the complexity and problem solving associated with Nephrology. He has extensive experience in managing electrolytes disorders, dialysis (hemodialysis and home dialysis), glomerulonephritis, transplant patients, chronic kidney disease, hypertension, kidney stone, cystic kidney diseases and plasmapheresis.
Alaine E. McGarry Gada, MD
Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. McGarry Gada completed her undergraduate studies at Cornell University and received her Master’s degree from New York University. She is a graduate of St. Louis University School of Medicine, where she completed her internal medicine residency as well. After her Nephrology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic, she joined a practice in northern New Jersey. Dr. McGarry Gada practiced for four years as attending staff at Hackensack University Medical Center before relocating to the Harrisburg area with her family in 2016. She is board certified in Nephrology.
Dr. McGarry Gada has special interests in electrolyte disorders and glomerular diseases. When not practicing nephrology, she enjoys running, cycling, hiking and spending time with her three children.
Kristy L. Washinger, CRNP
Received her Associate of Science in Nursing in 2003 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2007, both at The Pennsylvania State University. She then completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Widener University in 2009.
Kristy is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She joined Nephrology Associates in 2009. Prior to joining, she was a Registered Nurse for six years.
Clinically she has a special interest in chronic kidney disease and end stage renal disease. She has published various articles on renal disease and enjoys educating patients and medical professionals on various renal topics.
In 2016, Kristy was awarded the Kidney Foundation of Central PA Founders Club 2016 Award for Clinical Excellence.
In her spare time Kristy enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Allison G. Maurer, CRNP
Completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Messiah College in 2007 and her Masters of Science in Nursing from Widener University in 2010. Allison is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Prior to her current position with Nephrology Associates, which began in 2018, Allison worked in nephrology as a nurse practitioner for three years and in family practice for six years, as well as working as a Registered Nurse for three years. She also enjoyed her brief time as an adjunct professor at Messiah College. She has a special interest in end stage renal disease although she still maintains much of her family nurse practitioner ideals of focusing on the whole person and family as a unit.
When not practicing, Allison enjoys time spent with her husband and young children.
